Is there anything more ineffectual and performative than protesting with signs that say things like ‘pussies against Trump’ from the UK?

What about women in places where the oppression is Part Of Their Culture, and opposing it is the kind of thing imperialists do? Wouldn’t solidarity with them be bad and wrong?

Please can someone explain to me how this march made any positive impact for the marchers or oppressed women. Perhaps all those man (😎) hours could have been spent Actually helping oppressed women, as opposed to a day out causing a nuisance
I’m looking forward to engaging in this comment 😃

A more important time for this than ever as every day we have more and more men coming into England from countries who don’t believe in women’s rights.

Funny how people take to the streets to protest Trump (let’s face it, these marches deliberately coincide with his inauguration) but won’t take to the streets to protest the recent possibilities of WW3, nuclear war, or the genocide in Gaza.
Trump derangement syndrome is real.

Can we protest on behalf of all the suppressed women in the UK? Women covering their face for reasons I still don’t understand.

Reformers will cry about this. Can’t be dissing a sexual abuser like trump

Love all the people who were rightly up in arms about grooming gangs but are now complaining about attempts to support and advocate for other victims of sexual violence.
But no, the sudden attention to a well-known and well-documented scandal totally wasn’t just political opportunism.

Good to see the sexist and racist comments from the usual mob. I do think marches and peaceful demonstrations are a complete waste of time though.

Nah, ok. What’s the point of this? Is it televised?

Every woman in Afghanistan just saw this protest and now they’re feeling great again.

There are some women who like to be oppressed from one true religion.

Deal with grooming gangs in Britain first, and then you can lecture the world.

They mention Trump but not Sadiq Khan who, just yesterday, omitted answering if there are any grooming gangs active in London.
I’m not saying that Trump is ok, by all means, but it does seem like a political message is stressed more than the issues we are currently dealing with.
It’s a travesty that we silently allow young children and women to be abused by men and accept as a justification that this is part of their culture.

Dressed in their Shein clobber marching for oppressed women.

Besides this we should be helping women’s initiatives outside of the comfort of our homes

The same people went on the pro Palestine march shortly after. Oh the irony of it all.Â

Maybe they should focus on the mass rapes there or not, whatever
