There are a LOT of people in developing countries who absolutely adore Trump. The irony being he would probably insult their entire existence….but he does have a lot of love in poorer countries.

Of course BRICS like him, he governs in the same style most people there expect a person in power to govern, which is def not a good sign for America.

This lacks context. People could for instance see Trump as bad for the US and therefore beneficial for their own country.

China having a more favorable opinion of Trump than Europe is crazy.

Well. The US played the diplomatic game until Trump. He doesn’t. So everyone that thinks Trump is on their side happy about it.
Good luck to everyone and thank the US voters.

I don’t like him at all but as a european I think his election is going to weaken USA leadership and push euro leaders to be more independent, so I think this is good news, the next 4 years will be painful but we may get out of it more united.

Here’s my question, why not just scale the bars to account for rounding? Any error induced is below what you can expect to read on that chart, surely.

Don’t forget: in the MAGAverse everything is zero-sum. Being bad for another country is the same as being good for America.

There isn’t really a relevant point to this data.
Since this site is Visual Capitalist the answer could have some economic link – for example; opinion ranked by GDP, that way the opinion and it’s impact would be clearer.

Huh, so the countries he hasn’t threatened (yet) or expressed admiration for their (authoritarian) leaders don’t take such a dim view. Go fucking figure.

I hope history defies me but this shows me populism on a global level. The very same populism that keeps these countries autocratic semi-dictatorships. He want least appeal to the educated middle-class (EU). Even worse, he called them out on many occasions (scientists especially). This trend started in the world again and won’t stop until some catastrophic event happens.

This is abit off topic, but do you guys think China bought Trump or is this just Trump being super populistic and saved Tiktok because he wants the kids to like him? Or maybe he is a Tiktok addict and wanted to keep doomscrolling.

Yeah, but you generally want your allies to be supportive of you. Not your enemies.

colors of that chart do not match the actual numbers on the table eg.
S. Korea good: 11, bad 23, neither 67, but in the chart they have replaced the neither with bad.

If anything positive is to come from this, I hope it pushes the UK back to closer ties with the EU.

I would like to see separation of eastern EU border and the others instead of taking 11 biggest countries

My Iranian colleagues were celebrating his election because they hate the Iranian regime and see Trump as the one that will push them out

The thing Americans usually don’t get is that the internal ramifications of having one or the other party in power really do not translate that clearly abroad. Which is reasonable and understandable from their perspective of course, but may help explain why people abroad don’t seem to care as much as Americans think they should.
The Palestinian genocide happened on Biden’s watch, Obama used to merrily drone strike civilians in the Middle East all the time. This is to say we don’t really appreciate the dichotomy “Dems = good, Reps = bad”. To us, the differences are pretty marginal.
Add to this the fact that many here in Europe are dissatisfied with the subservient attitude our governments have towards the US, and see a Trump presidency as an occasion to gain more independence like it happened last time.

Just like his last term, he’s going to piss off allied states and coddle hostile states. So this isn’t all that surprising.
