IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WLUC) – An Upper Michigan hospital is educating its community about daily health.
Marshfield Medical Center Dickinson held a session of the Healthcare Guidance and Learning series Tuesday.
Every month, an expert from Marshfield Dickinson holds a presentation on a common health subject.
Tuesday’s session focused on living with diabetes.
Marshfield Dickinson Chronic Care Manager and speaker Cindy Yelich says she wants to inform people of ways to manage diabetes.
“It’s a very important health topic as a chronic condition,” Yelich said. “And one that, over the years, has become very manageable with the types of medication, treatments, lifestyle changes.”
The sessions are free to attend and hosted at the Northern Lights Iron Mountain YMCA.
