JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – This could be your chance to hear, “C’mon down,” and win big.

“The Price is Right Live” will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at 1st Summit Arena @ Cambria County War Memorial, 326 Napoleon St., downtown Johnstown.

“This is a different type of show compared to anything we’ve had in recent years,” said Chad Mearns, marketing and box office manager at 1st Summit Arena @ Cambria County War Memorial. “It has been here in the past and people had a lot of fun, and a lot of those same folks are coming back to try and have another chance to win some great prizes. We also have a lot of first-timers coming as well.”

The interactive stage show, hosted by Todd Newton, a Daytime Emmy Award winner for Outstanding Game Show Host, will give randomly selected contestants a chance to play favorite games such as Plinko, Cliffangers, The Big Wheel and the Showcase.

“The games vary per show, but this is in many ways a version of what you would see on TV,” Mearns said.

The show features an array of prizes from appliances and electronics to vacations and a brand new car.

Audiences members also can win prizes from their seats.

Mearns said those who purchase tickets in advance will receive an email with a link to register to be a contestant.

“If for whatever reason you haven’t registered, we’ll have opportunities all around the arena so you can register,” he said. “There is no connection between buying a ticket and being called as a contestant. That is done entirely randomly.”

Registration will open at 5:30 p.m., when name tags also will be distributed.

Mearns said interest in “The Price is Right Live” has been high since it was announced, especially with groups.

“We’re seeing a lot of friends getting together, people from the office getting together, entire families and clubs coming out to buy tickets,” Mearns said. “They show up wearing themed shirts for their group, and try to have a lot of fun with the night whether they get called on stage or not.”

Mearns said the event will offer an entertaining evening for people.

“It’s a show that offers a little bit of a break from the winter doldrums,” Mearns said.

“It’s exciting, so we’re hoping that a lot of people will take this chance to break that winter routine a little bit and come out and have a good night with friends and have a chance to win prizes.”

Tickets are $34 to $64 and are available at www.ticketmaster.com or at the 1st Summit Arena @ Cambria County War Memorial box office.
