      So her jail term has been extended bc she was waiting at home to be arrested with her bags packed and the police forgot to arrest her? Sounds about right.

      The police aren’t a fucking taxi service. You’re recalled to prison, ergo, you go to prison.

      I get she’s not some hardened criminal, but ultimately, she wasn’t able to fulfill the terms of her HDC, was told to return to prison and failed to do so.

      Did she think she’d just get a cheeky sabbatical in between?

      I know from direct experience the system can be absolutely, shockingly, shit and I’m trying to get her the benefit of the doubt but…..c’mon, it’s a prison recall, not a friendly request to nip in when you get a chance

      Right here’s the deal with enforcement. Typically if someone is told they’re getting recalled they’re told to pack their bags and go to the police station to hand themselves in, otherwise they’re picked up off the street with nothing.

      Either she’s completely misunderstood what her probation officer said or this is another act of defiance knowing it’ll be extra policework to go to her house, pick her up and take her away.

      We can all sleep safer in our beds tonight and sleep soundly knowing our taxpayers money is being spent on such high value criminals and not being frittered away on dentist,knee operation,nurses,hip operation etc. Thanks UK Gov

      I really don’t want to be the ‘what about the rapists and murderers????’ person but at a time when repeat offenders who inflict tangible harm on people are avoiding jail or being released early because of lack of capacity, locking this lady up seems ridiculous.
