Even neo-Nazis recognise it as a Nazi salute, yet every newspaper out there still refuses to recognise what we can see with our own eyes.

    2. Of course they do. They know he supports them. The media will tiptoe around calling it a Nazi salute because they don’t want Musk to sue them, but that’s what it was.

    3. “The Sunday National has been monitoring the activity of far-right groups and influencers active in Scotland and the UK on fringe social network Telegram since the riots in England last August. And some of them were quite energised, even excited about Musk’s gesture and what it meant.

This has included figures within the international Active Club network – of which a Scottish branch launched in May 2023.

Writing in the aftermath of Musk’s salute, the admin of a prominent Active Club channel, GYM XIV, said it was a “shift in the Overton window” – the range of subjects and arguments politically acceptable to the mainstream.

“If Trump, Musk and all the other Betapolitical right has done something it’s this. They are players in this battle of values that have changed the frontlines. And right now we surf on a wave of energy,” the message said to the group’s more than 2900 followers.

“A wave of faustian spirit reclaiming its rightful place in the heart and minds of our peoples. Whatever we think of certain political outcomes. It’s obvious. The game has changed dramatically.”

…just pathetic. We beat this scum in the 40s, we’ll do it again.

The fact that Musk is more far-right than Reform and Farage, so much so that he wants Farage gone, is extremely concerning and as much as I don’t like throwing out the word Nazi it is actually applicable here

    5. Of course they do!

One of most powerful men in the world publicly went on stage and effectivity announced “am one of you”

Short of re-opening gas chambers for immigrants i can’t think of anything that would make them more happy.

They’re going to be devastated when they realise it wasn’t a Nazi salute according to the right wing.

If, as Elon’s apologists are insisting on social media, his gesture wasn’t actually a Nazi salute, then I’m sure they will be lining up to loudly denounce Neo-Nazi groups welcoming the gesture.

    8. How could they not be? The richest man in the world has signalled his support for them, in one fell swoop he’s normalised the worst possible thing you can do. But he’ll suffer no consequences; it’s everyone else who’ll suffer because of this.

After two weeks of denials that it walked like a duck and quacks, the Insititute for Duckology Enthusiasts weighs in to state that “That waddling quacking thing is a duck, yo”

Er why the fuck do known neo Nazi groups even exist here?! Surely they’re proscribed..?! I feel sick. We have to be severe in our treatment of these groups and stamp them out, they’re being fed and they’ll soon flourish and completely immiserate our society

Edit: I’ve since been told about some of the other stuff he’s been up to, ok, he’s a nazi alright.

Honest question, why is Musk considered “definitely a nazi” when Macron of France made the same gesture and isn’t labelled a nazi?

      Edit: found a video guys…

So anyone going to try and answer the question rather than just mindlesy downvote?

My nephew who’s 14 is never off Tiktok and he said yesterday it wasn’t a nazi salute but was Elon giving his heart to his fans.

I showed him the nazi salute, then similar nazi rallies held recently, and then asked him to do such a salute in school or in front of his parents if it was only “giving his heart”.

He quickly apologised and realised how wrong he was.

    14. It is deliberate normalisation of fascism at the heart of western democracy. He knew exactly what he was doing.

QQ for any Reform voters in here (or even UKIP or whatever), is the right’s consensus that Elon is, in fact, a Nazi prick, or that it’s “just banter” or whatever excuse is doing the rounds?

Surely if there’s one thing we can all agree on it’s that Nazis, Nazi sympathisers and their ilk or influence are not welcome here?

This is the problem. I can believe that Musk is just a fucking weirdo with unadapted social skills and an awkwardness that leads to him doing really odd things. I can imagine his entire cognitive brain screaming to him ‘don’t do a nazi salute, don’t do a fucking nazi salute’ – and he throws up a Nazi salute.

However – if it was me I’d have immediately got very loud exclaiming that if you are yourself a Nazi that you are not to use my actions to embolden yourself and that I find neo Nazis absolutely appalling. He didn’t do that did he? So he’s now implicated in enabling all these neo fascist groups using his gestures as a sort of call to arms. And that is unacceptable.
