The rally aims to honor the achievements of women athletes across Nevada and support the protection of fair competition and opportunities in women’s sports.
Athletes, coaches, policymakers, and parents will attend to advocate for policies that prioritize fairness, uphold opportunities for women, and preserve the integrity of competition.
“As a former Nevada swimmer and multiple state champion, I know how athletic success can shape the future for girls in our state,” said Marshi Smith, chair of the Lieutenant Governor’s Task Force to Protect Women’s Sports. “Now, as a mother of a young daughter beginning her athletic journey in Las Vegas, I’m committed—alongside the members of the Lieutenant Governor’s Task Force Protecting Women’s Sports—to ensuring Nevada’s girls have the same opportunities to participate and win. I’m proud to support this rally celebrating Nevada’s female athletes and the state legislation needed to protect the integrity of girls’ sports now and in the future.”
The Lieutenant Governor’s Task Force to Protect Women’s Sports was established to preserve opportunities for current and future generations of female athletes in Nevada.
