**Statement from the Georgian Legion**

> The Georgian Legion firmly rejects the baseless and absurd accusations made by the Slovak authorities, claiming our involvement in an alleged coup against Prime Minister Robert Fico. These claims are nothing more than a deliberate attempt to discredit our unit, which has been fighting alongside Ukraine in its struggle against Russian aggression since 2014.

> This is not the first time we have been targeted by politically motivated disinformation. The Georgian government has previously attempted similar fabrications, accusing the Georgian Legion of plotting a coup or falsely claiming that we were returning to Georgia to participate in protests. These accusations were entirely unfounded and aimed at undermining those who stand against Russian imperialism.

> Now, the Slovak authorities have chosen to follow the same Russian playbook, recycling the same lies to serve their own political agenda. These tactics are well-known and have been repeatedly used by the Kremlin to smear those who resist its influence.

> The Georgian Legion has one mission: to defend Ukraine against Russian aggression. We have no involvement in the internal affairs of Slovakia, Georgia, or any other country.

> We strongly condemn these disinformation efforts and call on Slovak authorities to refrain from spreading Kremlin-style propaganda.
