This is a clever move by Russel Brand, try to have Trump and his cronies block any extradition requests from the UK government should he be charged by playing on the truth teller turned born again Christian evangelical angle.

How do these people just decide to move to the USA? Most people have to have a path to getting a residents visa, work or marriage or investment. I can’t for a moment imagine he’s got there on an extraordinary ability visa.
Eh, considering he has a wife and a child, I’m not so sure I’d believe this – unless he’s forcing them to abandon family, school, etc. Brand is also very close with his mum, so I’d be shocked if he left her for the states.
At this point, given he’s made a fuck load of money over the years from radio, standup (at a time when it was very lucrative), TV, and film, the smartest thing he could do is move abroad and just retire with his family. The man’s too fucking stupid for that though, and he’ll just grift and do whatever to feed his ego.
