Rochester, N.Y. — A Greece woman has been sentenced Monday to 27 months in prison for her involvement in a fraud scheme.
Nickola Ferra, 43, was convicted of wire fraud for engaging in a pattern of obtaining merchandise from local retailers and then returning the items for gift cards and store credit or selling them to third parties, according to prosecutors.
Ferra was also charged with using fake or stolen identification and credit information, as well as identity theft.
Ferra has also been ordered to pay $16,000 in restitution.
