This is just for fun. Price per square inch is mostly a useless metric.
Methodology:
* Prices taken from Amazon, rest of the data from https://comparetvprices.com
* TVs included are from 2022 – now, from Samsung, LG, Sony, TCL and Hisense.
* Tools: Python, Excel.
My last tv purchases have been LG, and price was a big factor. Seemed just right. Sony is often the more expensive and Samsung very close to LG.
I have a Samsung 85″ top of the line monster.
It’s AMAZING.
We just bought a TCL 75″, it definitely seemed like the best bang for buck I could see. Once you got past 75 the prices were getting crazy.
