  1. That Joe Biden is one powerful dude. He apparently keeps running stuff even after he’s gone. Elon’s got to be jealous.

  2. Look we all know this isn’t entirely his fault, he’s been in office only a month. But the man convinced people to vote for him under the guise that he’d literally fix everything on day one, so he deserves all the shit he gets.

Not that his voters would ever hold him accountable.

  3.  ““BIDEN INFLATION UP!”

Bruh you are president now NOT Biden

You cant blame other people for inflation when its convenient especially when you JUST enacted tariffs which are in nature inflationary and also want to try to push lower interest rates which also jacks up inflation

Yet MAGA will eat it up

  4. Everyone got mad at Biden because their grocery bills were growing. Well, now they’re going up at a faster rate, and there seems to be a collective “Meh”.

We’re stuck watching headlines straight out of The Onion of spectacular absurdity while prices go up. All while Trump has a near 20% higher approval rating than Biden when he left.

Why is that? He didn’t help Ukraine. He’s actively increasing inflation on purpose. He’s threatened trade wars and military attacks on our allies. He’s planning on illegally annexing Gaza, Canada, and Greenland.

So what else is there? What am I missing?

It’s our desire for a mean-spirited culture war.

The only thing I can see is Americans *want* to see people different than them suffer. Punish the “others”.

The collective organism known as The United States of America has become a cruel and malignant cancer on the planet.

Let me gut federal oversight, apply tariffs on all imports, and force a fed rate cut. I could then cut taxes for my wealthy friends and simply print more money. – Trump inflation plan.

  6. Ignoring the experts, Hoover signed the tariff on June 17, 1930. As the economists predicted, the high tariff proved to be a disaster. Even before its enactment, U.S. trading partners began retaliating by raising their tariff rates, which froze international trade. History will repeat.

  7. The minute Trump mentioned tariffs companies started buying inventory just in case which caused prices to increase.

And MAGA will believe him. Inflation will probably rise for the next few years and his following will say it was all Biden, even tho as each tariff gets implemented we will see in Live time prices continue to go up.

This is what a cult is. You are so far gone that whatever your leader says you believe. That’s how people start drinking the kool aid.

  9. I think some Republicans are starting to have the lightbulb moment, or maybe I’m a hopeless optimist. Yes, tariffs is a tax on goods imported from abroad and, yes, it likely causes inflation.

Despite Trump’s claims that his tariffs will be paid by other countries, consumers will be stuck with higher prices. Trump’s tariffs will amount to an average tax increase of more than $800 in 2025. This will hit low- and middle-income Americans particularly hard who are already struggling with the cost of housing and food.

Economists tried warning people before the election but the Trump cult of personality was in full swing and it fell on deaf ears. Higher tariffs cause a reduction in the real GDP and often increase inflation. This, in conjunction, with Trump’s massive cuts to the federal government to pay for his wealthy tax cuts and mass deportation of those who contribute to agriculture, service and construction trades, will most likely take a wrecking ball to our economy. Maybe that is the goal.

In the end, these Billionaires won’t give it a second thought, when GOP fiscal hawks push back on adding to the national debt to pay for more wealthy tax cuts, and they will come after entitlements.

Here’s a thought – if he’s worried about inflation, maybe he should try not raising the prices of everything.

  11. It’s wild he’s blaming Biden instead of the fact he’s thrown the US into chaos and complete uncertainty in the last 3 weeks. This asshole did literally everything he could do to hurt the economy and when it happens he points his fat orange fingers at someone else. Fuck hom and everyone who voted for him

  12. Boy that Biden sure is powerful. He has Trump boxed into a corner and he can’t do anything. Wow.

  13. His presidency, his party’s majorities in the senate and house, his ineffective leadership, his fault. He can’t govern. It’s showing.

  14. YoungestDonkey on

It’s not only Trump Inflation, it’s Republican Inflation. The party is allowing their leader to declare trade wars, to let an incompetent billionaire and his teenage ninjas wreck proper functioning of the state, to deport workers, overall to raise the level of chaotic uncertainty. Republicans are the ones who have the power and the authority to stop this but they’re asleep at the wheel. They’re afraid to get *involved.*

Where’s my cheap eggs? We are long past day 1.

Up 15% since he waddled into the Oval Office.

  16. >But Donald Trump felt that there was only one person to blame. ““BIDEN INFLATION UP!” the president posted on Truth Social Wednesday morning.

Republicans are nothing without their boogeymen. They control government completely and blame a guy who’s out of office when Trump’s personal actions are driving inflation.

  17. I guess that means Donald is still the weak, impotent lying coward that he always appeared to be.

    Yep, water is still wet.

  18. Baked_potato123 on

Will buying Greenland help to bring down inflation?

    What about trips to Mars?

What about attending the superbowl on taxpayer $$$?

  19. Trump has zero understanding of macroeconomics. He is imposing more and more tariffs which will increase inflation, and he is already whinning that interest rates need to go down as well. Increased interest rates are used to combat inflation but he is too ignorant to comprehend that.

  20. Beautiful-Plastic-83 on

Any Democrat gets blamed for EVERYTHING starting on Day 1, so I’m taking the same attitude with HitlerPig. Inflation? His fault. Plane crashes? His fault. Bad weather? His fault. Pin everything bad on him.

  21. He says our national debt is due to “other nations” taking advantage of us.

While in reality it is clear that 40+ years of tax cuts to the upper class are what has driven deficits.

  22. To solve a problem, one must first understand the problem.

The problem here is not inflation, but price gouging. Price gouging is caused by a free market failure to disincentivise  excess profits, and by collusion, rather than competition, among the businesses involved.

Breaking this involves attacking one of the two free market failures. Either we demonstrate and prosecute a few for the crime of collusion and market manipulation. Or we increase taxes on profits to disincentivise gouging.

But the fundamental tenant of what passes for modern conservative thought is that government action is never a solution, and never warranted.

So this is yet another problem that is unsolvable due to dogma.

  23. And this fucker said a few months ago that the market was good because it was anticipating his return. Can’t have it both ways

  24. I know “cost of living” is a thing. But why? Why do we have to pay all this money to just fucking live? I hate it here.

  25. “I can fix it all on day 1”

3 weeks in: “things complicated and it’s all Biden fault”

Sir, were you lying, are you incompetent, or is it a combination of both? Because those are quite literally the only options to pick from here. All you had to do to not be in this situation is not make promises you couldn’t keep. And this is just one of countless examples of you doing this.

  26. SofaKingS2pitt on

“Last week, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters that the Trump administration doesn’t “have a timeline” for alleviating the nation’s critically high cost of living.”

    Hahaha. Dupes.

  27. flowersandfists on

He’s easily the most mentally and morally deficient president in modern American history. He’s a coward devoid of character and he refuses to take responsibility for anything. He’s never once even attempted to unite the nation and seems utterly committed to tearing it apart. He’s a joke that isn’t funny anymore. He’s a cancer. And I blame the feckless, corporate-fellating democrats as much for his rise as I do the reprehensible, fascist republicans.
