LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The New Mexico Department of Health confirmed its first case of measles in Lea County.
According to health officials, it was found in a teenager, who says they didn’t have any known exposure to the ongoing measles outbreak in nearby West Texas.
Now, they are worried there is a potential for an undetected spread of measles in southeast New Mexico.
The health department says it is important for everyone to get up-to-date with the measles vaccine.
