Real Madrid have made their frustration with the standards of refereeing in Spain clear, with president Florentino Perez suggesting the Spanish Football Federation import English referees last year.

It has now been announced that next week they will submit their proposal for a new referral system.

Last week, Real Madrid sent a four-page letter to the president of the Federation, Rafael Louzan, expressing their complaints about the referees in La Liga.

In this letter, it is believed that the Madrid club labeled the referees as ‘corrupt, manipulated and having stolen trophies’.

La Liga has now sent a formal complaint to the Competition Committee about this letter, with the possibility of Real Madrid receiving a penalty.

According to Cadena SER, who explain that ‘Los Blancos’ will present their reforms for the reference in Spain.

This letter demanded that the referees involved during the period when Jose Maria Enriquez Negriera was in charge be investigated for sports corruption and removed.

However, their new proposal will focus on transparency and, in particular, ensure that conversations in the VAR room are made public./Telegraph/
