This shot was taken during a late May night near the Roque de Los Muchachos Observatory. I started with the MAGIC telescopes and then wandered through the scrubland to capture the GranTeCan telescope.
You can see a strong airglow on the horizon! The sky is so clear there that red nebulae pop out vividly without any filters.
Although this trip happened over two years ago, I never got around to posting the photos. As my editing skills (hopefully) improved, I re-edited this picture, and I’m much happier with the result now!
EXIF :
6 pictures at F2 – 2500 – 30 sec
Canon 6D – Sigma ART 50mm – Skywatcher Star Adventurer

Wish we didn’t have sky pollution and everyone around the world can see this on a clear night.

Here’s a picture I took in La Palma, Canary Islands, during an astro trip a couple of years ago ✨
