They’re not and in the new world that Russia and the US want, having a Reform govt would be downright dangerous. The press in this country need to start earning their money holding them to account instead of promoting them.

I’d trust a taco bell not to give me the trots over the Tory’s so it’s not much of an endorsement.

    3. Ohhh finally the country has realised they can’t trust the Tories….

Ohhh no, nevermind they trust the Tories with turquoise ties on instead. Just as gullible as they have always been.

I’m a massive Tory hater but I wouldn’t trust a single Reform party member further than I could throw them.

Beside the fact that they’re obviously Russian stooges, they’re headed up by the biggest grifting gimp we’ve got in this country who’s been evidenced as being completely full of shit for a decade or more now.

Reform are at the very most as trustworthy as the Tories and in reality much less so because their stupidity seems more malicious than Tory incompetence.

    5. Because of the voting system, right leaning parties will now vote split each other. A more common issue among left leaning parties in the past. So this type of thing plays well for Labour and if LibDems play their cards right (and a lot of luck) they might even get in to opposition. Our voting system is pretty messed up and silly.

They are. They’re gaining popularity and the continuing collapse of the Tory party and relative inertia of the dwindling left is enabling Reform. They’re in a position now where they’re on course to be stronger and more able and we can *implicitly* trust £Shop Mosely and his mates to royally fuck this country up the arse and get rich while they’re doing it far, far more efficiently that the Conservatives ever did.

Think it’s bad now? If the voting public of this country don’t pull their fingers out of their arses Farridge will sleepwalk into number 10 and we’re fucked.

    7. It’s gone tits up in America, and now the racists are getting stronger here as well.

Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with people these days?

    8. yeah, comparatively

i think being locked in a room with little air would be better than floating naked in the vacuum of space

    9. As far as I know, Reform don’t even have a manifesto. They’ve produced a document which is extremely similar to a manifesto but very significantly NOT a manifesto. The sceptic in me thinks that this was intentionally not a manifesto purely for the purpose of allowing them to break their promises without having broken their manifesto promises.

Doesn’t seem very strong or trustworthy to me

    10. Wow I wonder who is funding all this polls involving Reform and pointing out Reform is a totally sane and legit option to vote for – the strategy is so blatant, they want to normalise Reform as an option

    11. Reform is led by a guy that has had one idea in his entire political career, and that was Brexit. Which turned out to be a fucking disaster, which he lied about repeatedly to get it pushed through.

Anybody that trusts this mob deserves to get fleeced. Just ask those that voted for Farage as an MP how good a job he’s doing for them.

Saying all that, being more trustworthy than the Tories is not a high bar to clear.

    12. Fantastic_Sympathy85 on

Well..yes. but it’s like trusting the dog to watch your dinner instead of a wolf.

      Still going to vote Labour.

    13. I mean, this is a weird question… Because I hate reform, despise Nigel Farage and dislike everything they stand for.

But even I *trust* them more **to act upon their manifesto** than I do with the Tories. Like, if the Tories outline what they intend to do (not what they intend to *achieve*, just what they intend to *do*) and Reform do the same, I trust Reform to actually take those actions – whereas the Tory party at the moment is a bloody, infighting-plagued mess and I don’t place *any* stock in what they say.

It’s like saying I trust a gardener to mow the lawn, a thief to steal or trust a racist to say/do racist things. It’s not *positive* as such.

    14. This is absolute lunacy. Reform are so far from trustworthy and is slowly filling their ranks with Tory defectors…

    15. Fuck Sky. Right in the eye socket.

This is the thinnest edge of the wedge. Get people talking about them, give them a platform and coverage, and put out the findings of a ‘poll’ here and there, then suddenly in 6-12 months people are having discussions about them like they’re a viable option.

    16. Well, they are.

You can dislike Reform, and the Tories, as much as you like, but it’s hard to argue that they’re not more cohesive than the Tories, and they don’t have a track record of years of failure under the belt either.

Quite honestly, I don’t understand why anyone would vote for the Tories with the one exception of those people that will always vote Tory no matter what. Essentially, the Tories are just Reform Lite at this point. Why vote for that, when you can vote for full fat Reform?

    17. I’m 48 and have totally checked-out of politics. I can’t even listen to them on the TV/radio – I just switch off when I hear “Joining me now is Minister for….” There’s no point in listening to an endless stream of lies and question dodging. And if I hear “Twenty-two billion pound black hole” one more time I’m going to punch a child.

Politicians aren’t doing what people want them to do. So I’m not surprised that the electorate and feeling around for someone else.

When Reform are in power and everyone is moaning, it’ll be the Tory and Labour politicians themselves who will be to blame.

    18. Because all of the wealth that Brexit bought us has taught us to trust Farage, sure. I condemn the Tories but I’d rather have them in power than Reform with the current geopolitical climate.

    19. I’ve said this before. People are visceral voters. Unless Labour does something quick about wealth inequality and illegal immigrants, the fascist right will win the next election.

    20. Of course they are trustworthy. I fully expect them to continue to be every bit at racist and right wing as they advertise themselves to be.

The tories are never quite sure how far they are allowed to go to maintain at least some of their capitalist but not quite as racist base.

    21. Understand not trusting the Tories as they are self interested liars to an individual but anyone who trusts that lying wank stain Farage is a moron.

    22. ElvishMystical on

As bad as they were, I’d say most of us survived 14 years of the Tories.

I wonder how many of those who think Reform are more trustworthy leave their doors unlocked because their neighbours haven’t stolen anything.

    23. alacklustrehindu on

That’s what happens when both Labour and Tories don’t listen to their voters, especially when the far left pushing people to the other side of spectrum

      Rough time ahead
