The Ukrainian constitution says that no elections will be held during wartime. This constitution was enshrined well before the current president.

The election was held in July, once the war in Europe had ended and there was no longer a threat to the UK mainland. By this logic, Ukraine should hold elections once they’ve pushed Russian forces so far into Russian territory that they no longer threaten the Ukrainian mainland. I’m OK with that.
Alternatively, Ukraine should hold elections when Russia is defeated and they’re fighting an expeditionary war against North Korea?
