SAN ANTONIO, Texas (February 25, 2025) – Lubbock Christian University concluded their stint at the Rattler Invitational with a score of 945 and 18-over-par, which resulted in a seventh-place finish.
Anaya Perales secured the top finish on the team, marking her second consecutive and third of the season. Perales carded a +13 229 across three rounds of play, which placed her in a tie for 16th individually. Her final round was highlighted by a strong front nine that saw Perales go even-par with a birdie on hole 4.
Alexandra Escamilla finished behind Perales in the team standings, continuing a season-long streak of top-two team finishes. She ended the tournament with a score of 237 and 21-over-par, as she ranked tied for 34th overall. Next, Lily Griffin closed out play with a final scorecard of a +23 239 and finished tied for 41st as an individual.
Rounding out team scoring contributors, Alejandra Escobar completed the tournament with a score of 240 and 24-over-par. Overall, she finished tied for 46th place. Notably, Escobar led the Lady Chaps in birdies, with eight scored across the tournament. Kyra Schmuhl was the final Lady Chap finisher, although not counting toward their team scoring. She ranked 80th with a score of 261 and 45-over-par.
The Lady Chaps will have a short break before their next stop, the UAFS Hardscrabble Invitational in Fort Smith, Ark. They will seek a return to the top of the standings when they tee off on March 24-25.
