Fire extinguishers

Hello Girls,

I have a question…

I live in a flat. I used to have a fire extinguisher inside the apartment. There are also fire extinguishers in the stairwell (three in total).

Recently the owner has asked all apartments to remove the fire extinguishers from inside their homes.

I asked for them back and the response was that no one has a fire extinguisher inside their apartment. We just have to make do with the three in the stairwell.

Is this legal? Doesn’t sound legal

Basically my LL took all the extinguishers from all our block (they own the whole building) for the yearly testing.

They only returned the three that are in the communal area, which is just the stairwell.

I’ve chased this up and the response was that we have to make do with the stairwell ones, and none of the neighbours have them either…
