I wonder if Elon will start suing potential customers for not buying Tesla’s as he did with advertisers who left Twitter.

    2. Who’d have thought doing his Herr Flick schtick wouldn’t go down well in a continent that saw millions executed by the nazis and millions dead fighting the nazis.

    3. It’s a quiet time of year for car sales anyway isn’t it in the UK, plus people don’t have money plus cheaper, better EVs.  But I don’t think it’s Musks ties to Trump – if anything it would be the Nazi salute, outside of the US that’s been the bigger backlash rather than what he’s doing to the US domestically

    4. If your product is aimed at people who are enviromenly conscious and are prepared to pay a premium for a substandard vehicle to celebrate that principle, then going full Nazi/Racist/ Facist is the equivalent of kicking your potential customer base in the bollocks.

Not an intelligent course of action.

It’s an interesting twist on the Ratner effect.

Imagine how different the world might be if Henry Ford had been on Twitter.

They were due a drop anyway. They aren’t particularly competitive or innovative anymore and have been spectacularly outpaced by the Chinese and Korean brands.

His nazi shit won’t have helped but the main problem Tesla have with him is that he appears to be absolutely useless at running a car company.

wait till it gets out into the general public about how he had a penis implant operation that went wrong

    8. Disingenuous. Companies are actually ramping up production of ICE vehicles because of a global downturn in EV sales. EV sales figures are generally also inflated by fleets – companies get *massive* financial incentives to go electric. General consumers, not so much.

If you’re going to dump your Tesla because of your selective faux outrage, remember to not buy a VW or Porsche electric, because those were *actual* Nazis. And while you’re at it, get rid of your iPhone and other electronics that contain materials mined using child labour in Central Africa.

    9. The context of blaming it all on Elon being a dick is a bit of a false narrative.

Pretty much every EV production and seller is struggling right now, either sales are down or production costs are raising so high as to make selling them at an anchored price a loss.

They’re such ugly cars. The Frankentruck is in a league of ugliness by itself, but the other Tesla models are basic AF compared to premium European marques like Mercedes, BMW.

      >The Texas-based carmaker sold 9,945 vehicles in Europe in January, down 45% from last year’s 18,161,

      Rookie Numbers!

    12. Really? It’s because of his ties to Trump and not the fact he’s a deranged ket head, devoid of humanity that seems to be a Nazi and had bought he way into the US government? It’s because he’s linked to Trump. Right oh.

I need a new car, I have been desiring a Tesla for quite some time now. I I just can’t do it, my conscience won’t allow it. It also would reflect badly on me amongst my peers. I think when you get to that level where it’s just socially unacceptable to purchase some items, then it’s very hard to ever come back from that.

    14. The Tesla brand is finished in Europe and most likely the rest of the world and even for those blue supporting Americans.

The only hope Tesla has of surviving is for Musk to sell the company and the name changed as the brand is too toxic at this point. But that won’t happen as the share price is a fantasy.

    15. At least now a Tesla with a reg plate newer than 74 is a good sign the owner is someone to be avoided

    16. Hes going to absolutely tank the company. The right wingers hes aligned with hate EVs and and the left wing progressives who would actually buy his cars want nothing to do with him anymore
