This is actually quite smart from the Royals. They can’t officially cancel Trumps visit without a massive diplomatic fallout. But they can invite and sing praises for Zelensky

For all his failings, Charles is an avid environmentalist and the head of state of Canada, I expect he despises Trump as much if not more than anyone, so they can have a nice venting session together

Sad state of affairs when this is all we can do to help. Europe has sat back and done little else over the past few years in light of the reality of the situation in ukraine and we will suffer for it.
And people will cheer this meeting on as if it actually will lead to anything significant.

This is actually quite a clever solution to the problem they gave themselves with that state invitation.
They can’t cancel it after it’s been offered without causing an international incident at a time when we need less of that thing. But it still shows Comrad Trumpski exactly where he stands.
Difference is the king met Zelenskyy because we RESPECT Zelenskyy, only offered that to trump because trump is blackmailing us.
