Ludhiana: Police Saturday registered a case against a man from Ludhiana, who currently lives in Spain, for harassing a 40-year-old married woman. The accused allegedly sent objectionable messages to her and circulated her lewd photos and videos among her relatives. The FIR was lodged after inquiry.
The accused has been identified as Rajinder Singh. Charges under sections 78 (stalking), 79 (word, gesture or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman), 351 (2) (criminal intimidation) of BNS have been pressed against him.
The complainant said the accused was known to the family. In August 2023, she went to Portugal with Rajinder Singh for work. While she returned to India after a few months, the accused went to Spain. She said he later started harassing her by sending objectionable messages and forced her to talk to him by threatening to circulate her pictures and videos. When she resisted, the accused circulated her pictures and videos among her relatives.
