The Big Ten Hockey Tournament bracket is officially set.
The Spartans completed a season series sweep of Notre Dame on Saturday night, which also clinched a share of the Big Ten regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament. Minnesota also claimed a share of the title, but the Spartans hold the tiebreaker for the top seed.
With the Spartans earning the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament, they’ll be off next week with a bye. They’ll have to wait to see who they’ll host in the semifinals on March 15, with Michigan State facing the lowest-seeded team to advance out of the quarterfinals.
The Big Ten Tournament will then wrap up on March 22 with the championship game being hosted by the highest-remaining seeded team. That, of course, would be Michigan State should they win their semifinals matchup next week.
