If there’s anything to know, it’s that going soft on the Americans is a losing strategy. If only Gretzky and the others could stand up to Trump and his goons.

Lots of people over the years have said he can be pretty difficult to work with, a lot of it was probably just his perfectionism making him seem arrogant.

But this kind of publicity, especially directly in front of American audiences, is what we need. It’s notoriously difficult for us to garner any attention over this with other countries. For some reason nobody is taking our concerns seriously, it’s so disheartening.

But hopefully Mike *Fuckin* Myers gets the Canadian celebrity ball rolling. This needs to be shoved in Americans’ faces. It’s the only way to show them we aren’t just booing anthems. That we are devastated. They can’t just import all of our celebrities and pretend we aren’t a real nation.

  3. That’s our boy. Gretzky needs to step up. All he needs to say is that he loves Trump and America but that he strongly feels that Canada is not for sale.

Loved him when I grew up watching him in Austin Powers and this just furthers my respect for him

Except that the US doesn’t want to buy us…. They just want to take us for free.

Not a shade on Mike. Just what the US administration is saying.

The Canadian pop star isn’t wearing one. Have any musicians besides Green Day spoken out? Artists used to use their voice for shit like this all the time.

  7. Would have been great if Tate Mcrae had something on as well considering that she’s also canadian.

  8. Trumps legacy, Reuniting Canada. If someone would have told me in the not so long past that Donald A Trump will bring patriotism to Canada? I would have laughed, interesting and awesome outcome. “Ass sphincter says what”

  9. The problem is that Trump isn’t trying to buy it. We can simply say no to that. He will try to do it through intimidation, bullying, bribery (if he thinks we have a government leader that is amenable to such corruption and betrayal) and outright attacks starting with economic ones.

He probably can’t get away with just sending troops over the border and declaring our country to be annexed. Yet. He’ll need a few more years of consolidation and mass propaganda in the US before he can get the military and public to go along with it.

If you see Trump start to ratchet up the rhetoric about Canada being a threat to the US because of not just drugs but terrorists and so forth then hold onto your butts because that will be his way of preparing the US public to get behind the idea of invasion. Let’s hope he departs this world before he can get much further than he has already.
