I’ve recorded it myself over the past month. I’m subscribed to six trackers (two of which are paid services) which ping me immediately when new stock becomes available. Despite this, I’ve been beaten every time, likely by bots.
The retailers I attempted to buy from were Best Buy, Newegg, Amazon, Nvidia, MSI, and Asus. These were the only places to get any stock so far.
**What tool did you use to generate this visual?**
I remember using several different methods of bots(to notify me of stock not make the purchase) in 2020 to acquire a 3080. Eventually I got lucky late one evening from a twitter bot notification that got sent to my desktop through windows.
Good times.

Don’t buy one. Ask yourself do you really need it ? They are bricking, more power connector problems and they are lacking advertised ROPs.

Don’t these things melt their power cables anyway?
And I’m still out here on my R9 380 lmao. I do want to upgrade, but the highest end ones don’t seem worth it to me.

They should never have released the 50-series but just continued with the 40-series and waiting until they had something decent to release. Really one of the worst line-ups they have ever offered.

Lol.
It came out on my birthday and it took …8 months(?) to finally snag one without getting scalped.

GamersNexus has some interesting videos on the NVIDIA problems NVIDIA shipped RTX 5090, RTX 5090D, RTX 5080, and RTX 5070 Ti GPUs with missing ROPs.
IDK about you guys, but I think I’mma give AMD a shot this time with that 9600 for $600
Interesting-Cow-1652 on
My way of coping with 5090 availability is to remind myself about all of the reasons not to get a 5090 – massive monolithic die that drinks power and is probably prone to manufacturing defects (hence the missing ROPs on some of them), poor power delivery design leading to melting cables, NVIDIA not giving a fuck about pissing off their customers because they know they will buy their GPUs any ways

Man, that absolutely sucks but I couldn’t help but chuckle at that final line.
Nvidia could seriously use some tips from Apple; when comes to product stock, they got this shit figured out to a T.

I doubt NVIDIA’s board will let them spend their valuable fabrication allocation on gaming GPUs when datacenter delivers much more profit per mm^2.

My 5090 purchase attempts:
Check local store website -> see every 5090 is listed at $3300-$4200 CAD and all sold out -> Close website
That almost as much as my car cost. Nvidia can eat a dick. They just raise the price by $500 every generation now.

Time for AMD,
hopefully they will have good stock.
This makes no sense. You tried to purchase a $6000 bundle and said “no thanks” each time?
**What is an “RTX 5090”?**
Nvidia’s new graphics card that has been in [famously short supply](https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/gpus/rtx-50-series-paper-launch-saw-rtx-5090-rtx-5080-flew-off-the-shelves-micro-center-best-buy-and-newegg-are-all-out-of-stock). There’s been so little stock that many have called it [the worst launch ever](https://www.windowscentral.com/hardware/nvidias-rtx-5090-launch-could-be-the-worst-ever-can-amd-capitalize).
**Where did you get the data?**
