The Greek Ministry of Economy has introduced a new online auction platform for the concession of 550 beach sections for public use in 2025.
The auctions, closing on March 31, are part of a 2024 law mandating that all seashore and beach area allocations be conducted exclusively online. This digital approach aims to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accessibility for all eligible participants.
According to the ministry, the initiative seeks to maximize participation, ensure responsible beach management, and optimize state revenue. The platform was developed in collaboration with the General Secretariat of Public Property and the General Secretariat of Information Systems and Public Administration.
