  1. Automated phone systems are evolving rapidly, making cold calling more aggressive than ever. They can dial thousands of numbers per second, detect voicemails, personalize responses, and operate 24/7 at almost no cost.

As these systems become more advanced, they could reshape sales, political campaigns, and even scams. With near-human interactions and limitless scale, how will regulation keep up? Will we reach a point where nearly every call we receive is automated?

  2. Why doesn’t anyone sell anything cool over the phone? Like… Hello? Yeah this is Bob… Sorry, did you say PlayStation? Half price? Hell yeah man let’s do it.

Nah, it’s always some shitty telecom company or thieves.

  3. My phone tells me if it’s suspected spam, blocks known spam and also automatically screens unknown numbers, almost 100% of the time they simply hang up. This is a non issue for most with a phone from the last decade

  4. Greetings, friend. Do you wish to look as happy as me? Well, you’ve got the power inside you right now. So, use it, and send one dollar to Happy Dude, 742 Evergreen Terrace, Springfield. Don’t delay, eternal happiness is just a dollar away.

I get a spam call EVERY SINGLE MORNING at 7:30 am. It’s so fucking annoying on the weekend. But weekdays I’m awake at 5am. Still fucking annoying. I can’t block it because they call from a slightly different number every time. I just have to use do not disturb.
