burglarysheepspeak on March 5, 2025 7:06 pm Fair play Sheen! How does one go about purchasing debt at a massively reduced rate? Can anyone do that?
After-Dentist-2480 on March 5, 2025 7:06 pm When we remove the monarchy and declare a republic, Michael Sheen should be elected president, since Michael Palin is probably now too old.
MuggedOff on March 5, 2025 7:12 pm The things people with the means can do is unfathomable. Great guy, hope the uber wealthy can take a note of this behaviour. Thank you Michael.
Immorals1 on March 5, 2025 7:20 pm Man’s on a mission to make Port Talbot anything but a miserable place to live
Mr_Rockmore on March 5, 2025 7:23 pm Imagine the world we could live in if every rich and famous person had this sense of social responsibility
Disastrous_Fruit1525 on March 5, 2025 7:24 pm Misleading headline. No debts have been **written off** Despite the money being owed by people remaining the same, the companies that own the debt can then sell them for less and less money. Sounds like a scam. Passing debt around like it was an asset. Although the system was “bizarre” and he initially had “no idea” how it worked, Sheen said “it seemed like a good thing to do”.
