It is in the worst of times that we see the true metal of a person. Good on Starmer. At last we have a PM that stands up for Brits rather than cow towing to an American President. Queue the “Love Actually” music

>Trump’s favourability has even taken a knock among Reform UK voters with more now holding negative views than positive. The proportion with an unfavourable opinion of the president has risen 25 points to 53 per cent since mid-February, while the number with a favourable view has fallen from a commanding 66 per cent to just 45 per cent now.
People were wondering why Farage has tilted away from Trump. All in the numbers.

He’s stepped up out of mediocracy and is doing a stellar job of representing us internationally. Long may it continue.

Trump has quickly become radioactive for the entire political right across Europe, and in Canada. A common enemy uniting everyone else. He even managed to jolt the EU into taking their hand off the spending brake.

We should stand shoulder to shoulder with our eurobros. We got you Ukraine, even if the Orange would rather get another dose of Putin bathwater to drink, us lot in Europe see this dobby looking cunt.

He’s at 75 percent approval as high as Churchills at his height of the war to put that into context

Rightly so. He handled this situation like a true gentleman.

I dont think he’s ever going to be thought of as one of the great PMs, but this is a time for someone who thinks things through and acts with their head not their heart. A bit boring sure, but at least he makes people feel like we have an adult in charge.
When I think that we could have been at this crisis with Johnson or, god forbid, Truss in No.10 it makes me feel a bit ill.

The Daily Mail headlines (the paper, not the hellsite) have been mind-boggling. They’ve spent years describing him as a kind of bumbling antichrist and suddenly they’re rolling out the red carpet on a scale not seen since Liz Truss was going to save the world.
