She’s known for her stylish ensembles – and Queen Letizia of Spain didn’t disappoint as she stepped out in Madrid today.

The 52-year-old royal put on an edgy display in a leather jacket while joining King Felipe at the ARCO Contemporary Art Fair in the Spanish capital.

Looking effortlessly chic, the mother-of-two teamed her striking garment with a black jumper and matching smart trousers.

Walking alongside her husband, art-lover Letizia admired the works on display at the annual event.

Complementing her ruby leather jacket, the Spanish Queen opted for reddish eye shadow and lipstick to accentuate her stunning facial features.

She added a touch of glitz to her ensemble with a pair of golden hoop earrings, while keeping her straight hair loose in soft waves.

Finishing off her fashionable outfit, she opted for a scarlet handbag to match her statement jacket and a pair of kitten heels.

The event was hosted by ARCO Madrid, an international contemporary art fair in Spain that has been running since 1982.

Former news presenter Letizia is a keen art fan and regularly attends the annual occasion.

Last week, Letizia put on a striking display in a red ensemble at an Alcala University event in Madrid.

The mother-of-two attended alongside her husband, King Felipe VI, who awarded honorary prizes at the occasion in Alcala de Henare.

Letizia added to her chic ensemble with a flowing black poncho, protecting herself from Spain‘s cool temperatures.

Despite the dark addition to her outfit, she kept the red theme going with a crimson croc leather clutch bag, sparkling ruby earrings, and a pair of heeled red pumps.

The former journalist opted for a glamorous makeup look for the prestigious event, complete with bronze eyeshadow.

Meanwhile, 57-year-old Felipe dressed in traditional attire linked to the university, including a red cape.

Spain’s reigning couple also posed for photographs outside the university with board members.

Alcala University, located 35 kilometres northeast of Madrid, is a public university offering a range of undergraduate and post graduate degrees.

Meanwhile, Letizia and Felipe’s eldest daughter Princess Leonor of Spain appeared in high spirits in Montevideo as she boarded a training vessel today.

The future queen, 19, was snapped in the capital of Uruguay on the Juan Sebastián de Elcano ship, as she continued her training with the navy.

Leonor kept a stern expression and the level of professionalism one would expect from a marine as she stood with her hands behind her back alongside her crewmates.

Leonor wore her long dark blonde tresses in a practical sleek braided low bun, which sat elegantly below her sailor cap.

She looked regal as she proudly donned the crisp white uniform, donning a shirt with epaulettes, which she tucked into a pair of belted smart trousers.

The teenager beamed as she took her hat off along with her fellow aspiring officers on the ship and held it in the air, which is usually a celebratory gesture or victory.

The royal looked already a seasoned pro as Leonor was seen saluting her superiors with her right hand when on land, which is an act to show respect and recognition of authority.

Leonor decided to keep her appearance natural and opted to wear minimal makeup, sporting just a hint of mascara.

The royal spent a year with the Spanish army before training to be a marine and will then move onto her final rotation at the General Air Academy.

As she is the heir to the throne, Leonor will one day take the title of Commander in Chief of the armed forces, alongside being the Queen of Spain.

She therefore has to spend three years in each section of defence and has already  spent a year at the General Military Academy of Zaragoza.

At the start of the year, Leonor set sail from Cadiz, Spain, for her navy training cruise.

Felipe and Letizia watched proudly she took part in a departure ceremony before setting sail from Cadiz.
