Carlos Guillermo Aguirre Aguilar, president of the Gastronomic Federation of Yucatan and the Association of Restaurants and Gastronomic Services of Valladolid (Reserva), reported that next May, he will travel to Italy and Greece to promote local culinary art.
The restaurant leader reported that on Monday and Tuesday, he held meetings with the ambassadors of Italy and Greece in Mexico City.
This is to organize a trip to those European countries to promote local gastronomy, taking advantage of the appointment as the Ibero-American capital of gastronomy.
In a bulletin sent, Aguirre Aguilar reported that as part of the initiatives that the Gastronomic Federation of Yucatan and the Association of Restaurants & Gastronomic Services of Valladolid (Reserva) have been generating in recent years, the gastronomic culture of Valladolid.
Yucatecan cuisine continues to expand throughout the world, delighting culinary greats and integrating greater opportunities for our culinary professionals.
The president of the Gastronomic Federation of Yucatan held several meetings with ambassadors and consular teams from Greece and Italy in order to prepare his next culinary foray into the Mediterranean.
“After the great success we had in Europe, this year we will begin our next promotional expedition with 3 people from Valladolid in the team, promoting our gastronomy in the Mediterranean.”
Carlos Guillermo Aguirre Aguilar said, “We have chosen Italy and Greece as the venue for these meetings due to the large amount of tourism we receive from those countries.”
“We are very happy and working on the final preparations to be able to establish the best route for meetings with educational institutions, chefs, and businessmen in the sector,” he said.
It is worth remembering that the Gastronomic Federation of Yucatan and the Association of Restaurants and Gastronomic Services of Valladolid are some of the most important business organizations in the sector.
