Destroyed a Roman camp in Palencia

On February 21, the Roman camp of Castro de la Loma, dated from the 1st century, from the time of Cantabrian wars, in the Palencia municipality of Santibáñez de la Peña.

The camp has been destroyed with a bullying by the pedificary mayor of Las Heras de la Peña, a town of the same municipality, in an attempt to level the land to facilitate reforestation of the area that would have been carried out by an external company. The National Police have already opened investigations against the mayor of Las Heras and the president of the company responsible for the reforestation, and fines of up to 600,000 euros are foreseen.
