I’m at a point where I really want to change careers, but I don’t want to risk making the wrong choice again. Reading about jobs online doesn’t really help—what I need is to see what a real workday looks like.
I’m looking into whether there are better ways to get real-world exposure before making a decision. If you've ever considered switching jobs, could you help me by answering this short survey? Would mean a lot!
(Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments too!)
Anyone else struggling to figure out if a new career is actually a good fit?

Yeah and it seems like there is no solution. Any job I ask about half the people absolutely loathe it and say no money is to be made and half of them live the most kick ass life’s with it.
I’d say 99.9% of people working. Even if you like your job, your job you’re likely thinking why do i toilet away during the best years of my life only to “retire” when I can no longer do many of the things that makes life worth living? Yolo!
I’ve had about 5-6 different careers, my best advice is that there is no FOREVER job. Technology advances and our bodies / minds age.
How good a job is depends on a few main factors; Satisfaction / Fulfillment, Renumeration, Schedule, Location / Commute.
Company / Union / Coworkers are important too.
When considering a new career it’s good to ask people currently working to see their views of 1y / 5y / 10y+
