Mar. 15—The Stellar Brass ensemble, part of the U.S. Air Force Academy Band, will perform in concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 16, at the Empire Arts Center, 415 DeMers Ave.
The event is free and open to the public.
Stellar Brass, a premier brass sextet known for its dynamic and eclectic musical performances, has been described by the International Trumpet Guild as “an ensemble full of variety, panache and virtuosity,” according to an event announcement.
The ensemble supports the training of cadets at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado and, in performances, shares the Air Force story through music, entertaining audiences throughout the country.
Stellar Brass has represented the U.S. Air Force as musical ambassadors through internationally distributed audio and video recordings and broadcasts. The ensemble’s talent and expertise are widely recognized, and the members frequently serve as clinicians, leading master classes at universities, colleges and high schools.
The group, which has performed for numerous civic and military ceremonies, has been featured at prestigious events such as the International Trumpet Guild Convention, the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic, and the Colorado Music Educators Association Clinic and Conference.
The ensemble has also performed in major concert halls across America.
