As winter leagues come to a close, Parks and Recreation has opened sign-ups for adult summer sports.
The city will offer summer competition for volleyball, softball, curling and hockey. To sign-up a team or register as an individual, visit SteamboatSprings.net/221/Adult-Sports.
Volleyball
The beach volleyball season runs June 4-Aug. 27 with a 10-week regular season and playoffs. Games run from 5:30-9:30 p.m. at the Howelsen Hill sand volleyball courts. Registration closes May 30 with 4×4 teams pricing at $500 and 2×2 teams coming in at $250.
Volleyball schedule:
4×4 A League — Mondays
4×4 B +/- League — Tuesdays
4×4 C League — Mondays
2×2 A League — Thursdays
2×2 B League — Thursdays
Softball
The softball season runs from May 28-Aug. 28 with 10 weeks of regular season play and playoffs. Games are played at the Howelsen Hill softball fields. Registration closes May 30 and a team registration will cost a total of $1,375.
The A League will compete on Monday nights, recreational coed will be Wednesday nights and competitive coed will play on Thursday nights.
Hockey and Curling
The hockey and curling spring seasons are actively underway, meaning summer schedules and pricing will be launched at a later date.
