CRISP COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – A new technology campus may be coming to East Crisp County.
Crisp County filed documents with Georgia’s Department of Community Affairs (DCA) on March 6 requesting their approval for the project, according to the DCA.
The project – called Project Splice – would be located east of Cordele and west of Old Nesbitt Road. The DCA confirmed that the estimated value of the project is $6 billion.
According to the documents filed, the campus would consist of seven buildings, each 300,000 square feet, totaling to 2.1 million square feet. That’s about 36 football fields.
The documents lay out plans for this project to be completed in three phases.
Estimated completion schedule, per phase:
- Phase I: in 2029
- Phase II: in 2031
- Phase III: in 2033
Project Splice’s developer is Red Wolf DCD Properties LLC, according to the DCA documents. Red Wolf is based in New Jersey.
