France, Spain, Bermuda, US And More Shape Carnival Spirit’s Epic Return With Bold Itineraries And Stunning Upgrades Across Continents

Carnival Spirit launches global cruise journey after France drydock, sailing from Spain to the US with stops in Bermuda, Portugal, and more before Alaska season.

The Carnival Spirit has officially set sail on a transatlantic journey from Europe to PortMiami, following an extensive drydock in France that introduced several onboard upgrades. Departing Barcelona on March 16, 2025, the ship began a 14-night repositioning cruise ahead of its upcoming summer deployment in Alaska.

Along the way, the itinerary includes captivating stops in Spain, Portugal, and Bermuda, with ports of call in Málaga, Cádiz, Ponta Delgada, and King’s Wharf. The sailing also features a full week cruising through the vast Atlantic Ocean before concluding in Miami on March 30, 2025.

Once docked in Florida, the Carnival Spirit embarks on its next adventure—a 15-night repositioning cruise to its summer homeport in Seattle, Washington. This voyage includes a complete Panama Canal transit, with additional stops in Colombia, Costa Rica, and Mexico, giving guests a diverse mix of cultural and scenic experiences.

Beginning April 14, 2025, the ship will operate a series of seven-night cruises to Alaska and Canada, sailing roundtrip from Seattle. These popular itineraries feature breathtaking destinations such as Ketchikan, Juneau, Tracy Arm Fjord, Skagway, and Victoria, British Columbia.

Following its Alaska program, the Carnival Spirit shifts to a 15-night Carnival Journeys cruise to Hawaii, offering roundtrip sailings from Seattle. The voyage includes stops at Kahului, Nawiliwili, Honolulu, Hilo, and Victoria—blending island escapes with coastal charm.

In early October 2025, the ship begins yet another repositioning cruise via the Panama Canal, relocating for its winter season sailing out of Mobile, Alabama.

Prior to these deployments, the Carnival Spirit underwent a significant drydock makeover. The refurbishment introduced new venues, including the Heroes Tribute Bar and a dedicated Chef’s Table experience. Additionally, several onboard spaces received modern upgrades, such as the casino, Cloud 9 Spa, fitness center, retail shops, and the nightclub, enhancing the overall guest experience.

With refreshed interiors and thrilling itineraries ahead, the Carnival Spirit is set to deliver unforgettable voyages across the globe in 2025.
