Here is a translation of the video recorded by an Armenian fan about what happened after the match:
I’ve been to over 200 games outside of Armenia, and hundreds more within Armenia. I’ve never seen anything like this. As soon as our players approached the Armenian section to greet their supporters, we were suddenly — within seconds — caught under a rain of plastic bottles and metal cans.
I don’t know how Georgian fans ended up near our section, but they were, quite literally, armed with these bottles and cans — and I want to emphasize: unopened bottles.
Our fans were being checked for unopened bottles and caps — so how did these people manage to get their hands on hundreds of unopened bottles and cans?
We were being pelted from below, from the field, and from above — from the upper tier where the Georgian section was. It’s fair to say that there was no security whatsoever at Dinamo Arena. There were no police officers between the Armenian and Georgian sections — not even one as a symbolic presence. I’ve never seen anything like this anywhere.
Armenian fans were forced to wait an hour and a half until everyone else had left Dinamo Arena — only then were we allowed to leave, and by then it was already quite cold. During this time, the women and children with us were very frightened — some extremely so. Fortunately, no one was injured.
In November 2024, UEFA fined the Georgian Football Federation for fan misconduct and placed us on a two-year probation. The government was fully aware that any further incidents could lead to serious consequences — including the possibility of playing World Cup qualification matches without supporters. And yet, there was no police presence at Dinamo Arena to ensure the safety of the opposing team’s fans or players. How does that make any sense?
Meanwhile, social media is full of comments like “from Rustaveli Avenue to Dinamo Arena,” “these are the same kids who protest,” and “this behavior is encouraged by the opposition.”
And no one from the ruling party has formally apologized for what happened — not yet (Zourabichvili did tho).
Are we really supposed to believe all of this is just a coincidence?

I don’t believe in conspiracy theories as much as I believe in assholes and negligence.
