I watched the movie Sisu last night and I really enjoyed the over the top action, the story/characters and the scenery. I did some research and to my big surprise it turns out the movie was mostly shot in Nuorgam (Utsjoki). I’ve spent many summers up there and looking at my album I found this picture from last summer – midnight sun in late July. Picture #2 is Aatami riding on a horse and it’s clearly very similar terrain! The movie was probably shot in the autumn because of the vegetation colours. Fun fact if anyone’s interested 🙂
