The American College of Greece (ACG), the oldest US-accredited college in Europe and the premier private college in Greece, is organizing a public discussion on ‘Education as a Pillar of Growth and US-Greece Cooperation’ on March 2 in Washington, DC.
The American College of Greece announced plans to apply this fall for University Legal Entity (ULE) status in collaboration with a US university, aiming to commence operations in 2026. The announcement follows ACG’s absence from the initial application deadline of March 31 for institutions planning to launch in the 2025-26 academic year.
ACG, celebrating 150 years in 2025, sees ULE status as a means to expand its Deree College and Alba Graduate Business School programs, boost student enrollment, and strengthen its international network.
The institution, the first accredited US higher education entity abroad, says it also aims to maintain good standing with its US accrediting, degree authorizing and federal authorizing agencies.
