Haradinaj remembers Fetnete Ramosaj: She was the voice of the KLA
The Chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, remembered the heroine Fetnete Ramosaj on the 6th anniversary of her death.
Ramosaj, who was a journalist for the KosovaPress News Agency during the war, described Haradinaj as the voice of the KLA.
“On the 6th anniversary of her passing, we honorably remember the heroine Fetnete Ramosaj. The voice of the KLA, a collector of facts about the Serbian genocide in Kosovo, bravely until her last breath. The women of the KLA are a historical value that rarely any other nation has. Pride and gratitude,” Haradinaj wrote, reports KosovaPress.
Fitnete Ramosaj was born in 1972 in Deçan. He completed primary and secondary school in Deçan. He completed the Higher Pedagogical School in Gjakova, and his postgraduate studies in Prishtina. He has a master’s degree in security sciences.
Since 1989, she was an active member of the illegal and popular movement in Kosovo. She was an active participant in the liberation war, as a member of the Kosovo Liberation Army. During the war in Kosovo (1998-1999), among other things, she served as the KLA Spokesperson for the Dukagjini Operational Zone. At the same time, she also reported for the Kosovo State News Agency “KosovaPress”, Radio “Kosova e Lirë”, Albanian Radio Television (RTSH), etc. She collaborated with the international news agencies “Voice of America”, “Deutsche Welle”, “BBC” and with the Albanian press of the time in Kosovo, Albania and the diaspora.
She was co-founder and editor of “Zgjimi” magazine, Deçan (1991-1997); collaborator and member of the editorial board of the newspaper “Zëri i Kosovës”, Switzerland/Pristina (1995-2001); co-founder and editor of the first military magazine in Kosovo “Ardhmëria” – Organ of the Third Defense Zone (1999-2001); editor in the weekly newspaper “Fokus”, Pristina (2003-2007), etc.
She is the author of several feuilletons and dozens of journalistic articles, published in the legal and illegal press of the time since 1991; reviewer, lecturer and editor of several publicistic, historical and security books; participant with scientific papers in several international scientific symposia and conferences, etc.
