Kelsea Ballerini shared a moment with her fans Friday night in St. Louis that … well, you just don’t see many moments like it in a country music concert.

So, what went down?

Well, according to Parade, the star singer took the stage at the Enterprise Center in Missouri for her performance, but, at least for a moment during the middle of the show, the atmosphere changed.

That’s because, according to the site, Ballerini started talking about her mother. During that talk, the singer told the crowd she had been away from home for three weeks, so as a surprise, her mother and her dog, Dibs, showed up to surprise her before the show.

Ballerini then played her song, “Sorry mom,” but video shows she could barely make it through without breaking down in tears. And, apparently some fans joined in, too.

Following the song, she pointed out to what was believed to be her mother in the crowd and said, “I love you.”

Aside from those in the crowd, Parade reported that Ballerini’s fans across social media were touched by the emotional scene.
