Islam: Radoićić and the Serbian List force Serbs from Kosovo to join the rally Vuçiq
A group of local Serbs set off on foot today towards Serbia, carrying nationalist flags and slogans against the state of Kosovo.
They will participate in the rally called by Serbian President Aleksandar Vuçiq from 19:00 PM, April 12th.
Security expert Avni Islami says that local Serbs are being forced to participate in such rallies under threat from criminal structures linked to the Serbian List and Milan Radojčić, who has claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack in Banjska and continues to remain at large in Serbia.
“Their participation is not a free choice. It is the result of fear, pressure and manipulation exerted for years by criminal groups that control the political and social life of Serbs in northern Kosovo,” Islami declares.
He points out that local Serbs are threatened with cuts in aid, isolation and other forms of blackmail if they do not respond to invitations to political activities.
“This is not the first time this has happened. Even at the last protest on March 15 in front of the presidency in Belgrade, the same individuals were present – some wearing masks – paid 100 euros a day by Radojcic,” he adds, reports KosovaPress.
These individuals are the same ones who were previously seen in northern Kosovo during attacks on KFOR, Kosovo Police, and the media.
Islami emphasizes that more and more Serbian citizens in Kosovo are understanding Belgrade’s manipulation.
“A long time ago, 20.000 dinars (170 euros) were promised in exchange for votes for the Serbian List, but this money was never given to them. Also, promises of employment and benefits have proven empty, which has brought dissatisfaction and protests to the illegal Serbian structures in Kosovo. Such a competition was recently canceled under pressure from protesters,” Islami concludes.
