SKOPJE (N. Macedonia), April 9 (SeeNews) – Electricity traded on North Macedonia’s day-ahead electricity exchange amounted to 97,069.6 MWh in March, up from 67,003.4 MWh in the same month of last year, the National Electricity Market Operator (MEMO) said on Wednesday.

The average market-clearing price in March 2025 was 104.21 euro ($115) per megawatt-hour, MEMO said in a statement.

The daily average volume of the day-ahead market (DAM) was 3,131 MWh in March.

Compared with the previous month, power traded on the DAM was 15.3% lower in March.

MEMO launched the country’s day-ahead electricity exchange in May 2023. The electricity market in North Macedonia was liberalised in 2018.
