      I get the impression Farage doesn’t really have the appetite to see through this parliament to the next election.

      It’s different in the US because you can run without holding elected office, whereas I get the impression Farage can’t be arsed to work in a parliamentary democracy and would prefer a presidential campaign where he could fuck about in front of cameras and do none of the donkey work.

      If these local elections don’t go well for Reform then we might see him fizzle out.

      I’ll never understand how this is allowed for any MP in any party. You are elected an MP you devote yourself to it, no second job, no side hustles, we’re paying you nearly 100k a year can you maybe do the fucking job WE are paying you to do.

      What this country needs is a system whereby MPs who regularly don’t turn up for work get automatically sacked.

      In a normal job if you don’t turn up for work, you get sacked by your boss. The problem with MPs is that their “boss” is only able to sack them once every 5 years.

      Sky News Australia is NOTHING like Sky News in the UK. It makes Fox News seem sane by comparison.

      It’s basically Lachlan Murdoch’s own *Der Stürmer,* but dumbed-down tabloid TV for barely-literate ageing Aussie boomers. It is UNBELIEVABLY awful.

      It’s turned my ageing relatives into foaming-at-the-mouth wingnut monsters. I’ve hated the Murdochs since I was a kid, but my loathing of that evil family has recently reached incandescent levels.

      I saw Sky news Australia on YouTube, I thought it was a parody channel. Imagine the dumbest thing you could imagine being said on a topic and you’re pretty much there.

      I’m not sure he’s actually nasty enough for sky news aus. It’s proper right wing, like GB news tries to emulate it but is too scared of OFCOM so it’s pretty watered down.
