Besnik Krasniqi, editor at the KOHA Group, has called the Democratic League of Kosovo a bad copy of Vetëvendosje after its refusal to meet with the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, about the possibility of forming a government. The LDK has said that it will not enter into a coalition with opposition parties either.

Krasniqi stated that the LDK was known as a non-blocking party in the past, and that it is now moving beyond what it was.

“We know LDK as an institutionalist, non-blocking party. If we take it as a message from an LDK leader, it turns out that it has no foundation as a message. But what we are seeing is that this new LDK is a bad copy of VV and this is the most strategic mistake that the LDK leadership is making today. Because they are following the strategy, the discourse of VV, even in actions like blocking when they say that neither with you nor with the opposition will the government be formed. This is a blocking position and this was not in the nature of the previous LDK,” he said in “Konfront”.

Krasniqi has stressed that the leader of the LDK, Lumir Abdixhiku, is leading his party towards destruction. According to him, the LDK has lost its electorate with lies and internal divisions.

“With his actions, Abdixhiku is digging a grave for the LDK. The LDK is heading towards the abyss if we have either of the two options before us, one if we have an opposition government that will only last until winter, since then the election of the president will be in question, and the second if the LDK remains in opposition. First, people believed that the fall of the LDK 4 years ago was accidental, which will be corrected in the next elections. 4 years passed, we saw the change of the LDK leadership and a very easy rise. Second, the spectacle in the campaign. People believed that the LDK had become massive and when they saw that image in the LDK meetings, with the electorate, a certain enthusiasm was created that the LDK had grown and let’s vote. What happened was that that image was false. Third, the people of the LDK, through the scandal that occurred during the elections, the internal theft of votes, created “dissatisfaction within the structure and this division, differences, have an effect on the electorate.”

Alija on rejecting the invitation from LDK: State interest must be put before party interest

Political analyst Artan Alija, while speaking about the LDK’s rejection of Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s invitation for a discussion regarding the constitution of the Assembly, said that this party should put state interests before party interests.

He said that the LDK’s declaration that it will remain in opposition as it is in its party’s interest was problematic and surprising.

This, according to him, is because this party has shown itself to be much more institutionalist.

“Regarding the LDK’s reaction to Prime Minister Kurti’s invitation, I believe that since the end of the elections we have seen an unworthy communication from the LDK, in certain cases even unprofessional. At the moment when we talk about the future of the country, putting party interest ahead of the state interest is probably not the best approach for a political party, especially for the LDK that has all that baggage, both from the past and from the present. In a previous statement, they said that they will remain in opposition since it is their party interest. For me, this has been very problematic and surprising to see such a reaction from a party like the LDK, since I expected it to be much more institutionalist as it has claimed and to see the interest of Kosovo first, then the party interest,” he said.

Drenori: LDK in crisis, Kurti caused a double blow with the invitation

Political analyst Xhavit Drenori has said that the Democratic League of Kosovo is experiencing an internal party crisis.

On Wednesday on KTV’s “Konfront”, he added that with the invitation to a meeting to discuss the constitution of the Parliament, outgoing Prime Minister Albin Kurti has dealt a double blow to this subject.

According to him, the response of the head of this entity, Lumir Abdixhiku, was appropriate as any other action would be to his detriment.

“I do not believe that the main argument is that Mr. Abdixhiku formulated the answer with all those stylistic figures, which are true. They are not true because in the past there was even harsher language, even more serious insults that the public remembers and have been overcome. I think the main argument is that the LDK has an internal crisis, and even the crisis is within the parliamentary group. I believe that for the LDK, Mr. Abdixhiku has made the most appropriate decision possible, even though Mr. Kurti’s request itself was a blow to them. Any other action he would take would damage the new leadership of the LDK, Mr. Abdixhiku himself,” he said.

Sopi on political reality: An idiot cannot get along with a group of crazy people

Analyst Agim Sopi said that the political class in Kosovo was created as an interest group, previously initiated by foreigners.

“It is difficult to have a conversation of ideas. This gap between us, despite the revolutionary goals to change the world for the better, often results in deep disagreements because we cannot get along as an idiot with a bunch of crazy people. This is the Kosovar reality because unfortunately the political class in Kosovo was created as interest groups that were previously initiated by foreigners, UNMIK,” he said in “Konfront”.

According to Sopi, Kosovo has not been able to utilize the new reality created after the war and the achievement of peace.

“We came with two movements at the moment we arrived, with the peaceful movement of Ibrahim Rugova and with the movement of the KLA of war. We did not know how to make the new reality created together. We were brought together by some representatives of Kosovo that we loved and they were quite chosen people who used their powers for their own interests, first of all the powers of the region, first of all Serbia.”
