The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates has officially announced today through a Note Verbale, sent to the Embassy of Kosovo in Abu Dhabi, that the agreement on mutual recognition of driver’s licenses between the two countries has entered into force.

This agreement enables citizens of Kosovo and the United Arab Emirates to convert their driver’s licenses without having to undergo theoretical or practical exams in the host country.

It represents an important step towards facilitating the movement and integration of citizens of both countries, reports KosovaPress.

The agreement was signed on December 4, 2024 in Abu Dhabi, the Kosovo MFA announced.

This is the second agreement of particular importance between the two countries, following the January 2024 agreement that enabled the lifting of visas for Kosovo citizens.
