SKOPJE (N. Macedonia), April 11 (SeeNews) – North Macedonia’s government said on Friday it has allocated 3.7 million euro ($4.2 million) from the 2025 budget to finance local ecological projects.
The government has earmarked 100 million denars ($1.8 million/1.6 million euro) for the construction and technical documentation of sewage and wastewater treatment systems, and another 100 million denars for the construction and upgrade of water supply systems, it said in a press release.
It has also allocated 10 million denars for educational, research and development projects, and 19 million denars for public awareness campaigns, environmental education and training activities.
Municipalities, associations, civil society organizations, and scientific and educational institutions can submit project applications over the next three weeks.
