    1. Very sad for rhe people involved. 

      Zooming out it seems as though the credulous, recently online boomer is the golden goose for scammers and con-artists: wealthy, coddled, lonely (after becoming estranged from their kids owing to their Faragist rants) and will not countenance being wrong about anything.

      Ok IT warriors. All u online ethical hackers etc. How’s about teaming up with the uk government and taking down these scam centers in India? They target elderly people. Our most vulnerable and accomplished, why are we not protecting them?

      I think the important part, that the title massively leaves out, is that the person in question had dementia.

    4. I am guessing he had no family then. Someone with dementia should not have access to online bank accounts as a precaution against scammers.

      Scamming and pushing a pensioner to suicide for less than 1 year of the national minimum wage.
