During a virtual Protect Out Care NH event Monday, experts said the cuts would impact lower-income families, seniors and veterans.
About 13% of New Hampshire’s population is enrolled in Medicaid.

Officials said the program helps provide more funding to support rural health centers.
Speakers said cuts could widen existing health disparities, jeopardize care at rural hospitals and strain providers already working at capacity.
“It’s really important that people understand that it’s more than just healthcare coverage for people who are lower income; it’s an economic driver in New Hampshire, and we cannot let that fade away,” said Tess Kuenning, president and CEO of Bi-State Primary Care.
